Outside the United States, every order is digital: the photo file by email plus a sheet you can print at home or at any photo shop. We do not ship or offer store pickup outside the US, so there is never a shipping charge there.

This page covers how printed photos reach you in the US. The digital photo is not shipped; it is emailed and posted on your order page as soon as it passes the final automated check, usually within minutes of payment.

Mailed prints (US only)

Standard shipping is free on every order of mailed prints. Choose your shipping speed at checkout.

When we ship. Prints are made and packed at our fulfillment center once you pay. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding federal holidays, so an order paid on a Friday evening starts moving on the next business day.

Delivery time. The times above are the carrier's estimates, not a guarantee, and can run longer in bad weather or around holidays. Checkout shows the estimated delivery date for your address before you pay.

What is in the envelope. Your 2, 4 or 6 prints on photo paper, cut to the size of your document, in a rigid mailer so they arrive flat.

Where we ship. Addresses in the United States. We do not ship outside the United States.

Address errors. We ship to the address you enter at checkout. Check it before you pay. If a parcel comes back to us as undeliverable, we email you to confirm the right address before anything is sent again. Your digital file is yours either way.

Damaged or missing. If prints arrive damaged, or have not arrived within 10 days of shipping, email support@passportphotos.com with your order number. We send a new set free, or refund the difference between the prints price and the digital only price if you prefer.

Pickup at a store near you (US only)

Cost. No shipping charge from us. You pay the store its own print price, usually well under a dollar, at the photo counter when you collect. That price is the store's, not part of our price.

How it works. You choose "Pick up near you" and pick a store on the map in our photo tool, before checkout (CVS, Walgreens, Duane Reade or Walmart). After you pay and your photo passes the final automated check, you send the print order to that store yourself, from your phone, in a few taps. The photo ready email and your order page show you how, step by step, for your store: CVS takes a guest order, Walgreens and Duane Reade need a free Walgreens account, and Walmart orders go through Google Photos with your own Google account. You can send it at any hour. We do not place pickup orders for you.

Timing. Prints are usually ready about an hour after you send the order, during the store's photo counter hours. The store tells you when they are ready. Ready times are the store's estimates.

If the store cannot print it. Send the order to another store on the map, or print the 4 x 6 sheet yourself. If no store nearby works for you, email us and we refund the difference between the prints price and the digital only price, and you keep the digital file.

Collecting for someone else. The store order is under the name you enter when you send it. Whoever collects gives that name and pays the store's print price at the counter.

Printing it yourself

Every order, prints or not, includes a 4 x 6 sheet with two photos of your document's size. Print it on photo paper at home or at any photo kiosk and cut along the lines.
