    • How do I find the photo size for my document?
      Choose the country that issues the document, then the document itself. Each card shows the size, head height and background for that document, and the camera opens with it preselected.
    • Can I take my passport or visa photo as a selfie?
      Yes, a selfie works for every passport, visa and ID photo on this page. Hold your phone at arm's length, about 40 to 50 cm (16 to 20 inches) from your face, and the camera guide sets the distance and framing. The software checks every requirement before you pay. For a baby, a parent takes the photo.
    • My document is not listed. What can I do?
      Email support@passportphotos.com with the country and the document, and we reply within one business day.
    • Which country do I choose if I live abroad?
      The country that issues the document. A Mexican passport renewed in Texas is under Mexico; a US visa for a citizen of India is under United States.
    • Do I need a digital photo or prints?
      It depends on how you apply. Online applications need the digital file; paper and in-person applications need printed photos. Every order includes the digital file, plus a 4 x 6 sheet you can print when the document takes printed photos.
    • How long does a passport or visa photo online take?
      About three minutes to take the photo and check out. The digital file is in your inbox within minutes of paying, as soon as the final automated check passes. Mailed prints arrive in 3 to 5 business days, or 1 to 2 with Express.
    • Where can I get a passport or visa photo near me?
      Start with your phone: pick your country and document, take a selfie, and the photo is sized to that document's rules and checked before you pay. For a US passport, baby passport, renewal or green card you can also have prints mailed, or print the emailed sheet yourself at a store near you.
    • What if my photo fails the check?
      The screen tells you what to fix and you retake it free, as many times as you like. Nothing is charged until every check passes.
    • Is the photo guaranteed to be accepted?
      Acceptance is always the issuing authority's decision. Add the Acceptance guarantee at checkout and a rejected photo means double your money back.
    • What happens to my photo afterward?
      It is used to make your photo and for nothing else. Deleted 30 days after delivery, never used to train AI.
