OCI card photo requirements, in plain words
The OCI photo has its own rules on shape, background and face size. Each one is explained below.
Size And Shape
Square, 200 to 900 pixels, no larger than 200 KB.
Background
A plain light color that is not white. We make it a very light gray blue.
Face Size
Your face fills about 80% of the photo, from the top of your hair to your chin.
Pose And Expression
Face the camera with your head straight, eyes open, mouth closed and a natural expression.
Glasses
Clear glasses are allowed if there is no glare on the lenses and your eyes show clearly. No sunglasses or tinted lenses.
No Edits To Your Face
We crop, size and set the background. We never retouch or change your face.
Before you pay, the software checks size, background, pose, expression, glasses and lighting. It cannot tell how old a photo is, so take a new one for your application.

Why OCI Photos Get Rejected, and How We Catch It
The most common reasons:

- a face too small for the photo
- glare on glasses
- a file over 200 KB or not square

What we do not do to your photo
We crop it, size it, place your head correctly and set the background your document asks for. We do not change your face, your features, your eyes or your expression. Altered photos get rejected, and the photo has to look like you.
